Important: In the commands below, we assume that your Dropbox folder is in the default pathway.You'll know that these instructions complete normally once the initial line of text (called prompt) appears.The password field in Terminal remains blank as you type your password. You may be prompted for your computer password (not your Dropbox password) after entering the commands.Copy and paste the following lines one at a time into Terminal.Once the download finishes, click Run to start installing Dropbox. Your Dropbox download should automatically start within seconds. Dropbox Update can run when the Dropbox application is closed. Dropbox Update waits until you’re done performing a task before restarting the application to apply the update. It downloads new versions in the background. Dropbox Update doesn’t apply updates to the Dropbox desktop application while you’re interacting with the application.
